WaterSipAI: Water Reminder · Last updated 18 October 2026

The short version

Camera

WaterSipAI uses the front camera only while the drink check is on screen. Each video frame is analyzed on your iPhone with Apple's built-in Vision framework to see whether you are drinking. Frames are never recorded, saved, or sent anywhere, and the camera turns off as soon as the check closes.

Your drink history and settings

Your reminder schedule and your drink history (the time of each glass, and each skipped reminder) are stored only on your iPhone. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes them.

Learning from your feedback

When you tell the drink check whether it got it right, or tap "I did drink", WaterSipAI saves a small record on your iPhone: the names of objects the camera recognized near your mouth (such as "cup") with confidence numbers, and how long you sipped. No images are kept. These records are used only on your iPhone to tune the check to you, and you can erase them in Settings → Drink check learning → Reset learning.

Notifications

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. No server is involved.

Analytics, ads and tracking

WaterSipAI contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party code that tracks you.

Children

WaterSipAI does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13, because it collects no data at all.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
